Big taie is the dark horse for 2023
Being a hitmaker is like being a golden goose in the music industry. They're hard to come by, and even with access to the top writers and producers, you can still swing and miss. So, when a young artist is able to consistently drop hits early on, I tend to pay attention. Atlanta born, Big Taie, has quickly emerged as a top 5 up-and-coming artist in 2023. You may remember Big Taie back in 2022, as he sent blogs around the country into a frenzy after working with TyFontaine and Zelly Ocho. And rightfully so, he’s lived up to the hype. His latest album, Loyalty, which offers no features is one of the strongest albums of the year. Not just in the underground, I mean in all of rap. From top to bottom, it fits the cliché saying: there's something for everybody. There's hard shit, strip club shit, motivational shit, and some heartbreak shit. Truly, an impressive and diverse album that shows off his versatility and evolving sound. Some standout songs are "Not in Love" and "Trust in You," which both share a music video shot by Antemortem (one of the hardest videos of 2023). The video currently sits at 800 views, so go run it up.
It's important to note that he has surrounded himself with knowledgeable individuals and talented minds. In 2021, Nathan Evans founded Sink Or Swim Projects, a label, publisher, and management team. The group is home to numerous rising artists, where Big Taie is co-managed by Evans and Eddie Young. It’s fair to call him a dark horse in the highly competitive Atlanta music scene. However, when he inevitably pops, you won't be so surprised.
